Math Vectors Vectors

In mathematics, arrows are used to display the displacement of a given point. The arrowhead indicates the orientation.

This oriented line segment can be displaced without changing the direction, length and orientation.

Together all these arrows form the vector $\vec{a}$.

All arrows that are parallel and have the same orientation and the same length are called vector.

A vector is a set of infinitely many arrows. However, one arrow is enough to depict them. It is a representative of the vector.
